1st Stand-up meeting, 20/04/2021

Sid: He has been playing with TheGraph. Now he understands how to work with it. From this new knowledge, Sid determined that the Smart Contract needs to be upgraded to allow querying.

Also, that we will require a Graph node, and that most likely will be better if we rent an existing one than setting it up from our side. Sid will check the cost of both hiring a Node and setting it up for us. This will take up to 3 hours more. He will try to make it fit within the current deadlines.

Regarding Magic Link, Sid needs help from another full-stack developer with basic notions of web3 to set up the magic link integration. Lamont and Humberto will look for the right person.

Lamont: He has been checking IPFS and FileCoin. Lamont says we would benefit both in the short term and in the long term in costs and smoother data management by using FileCoin. He will update by tomorrow the expected costs of running within FileCoin, and later in the week he will check the possibilities to benefit from grants for building on top of their protocol.

Once Lamont finished the metadata-related task, he will go on to activate the badge creation and badge assigning. However, it is to be noted that in order to do so, the smart contracts needs to be updated by Sid.

Humberto: A common concern from Sid and Lamont was having a DevOps environment. He will take care of this by talking to Cami and Rajbir to know what DevOps do we have in place at FP, and know what can we use.

Also, Humberto will continue to insist to the Product team to meet for integrating them into the Roadmap execution.

Until next update.
