We're thrilled that you are interested in becoming a coordinator!
Coordinators assist FP by making sure our volunteers are empowered, encouraged, and appreciated. They also take charge of projects and oversee the execution of tasks, glueing the teams together and leading them.

Expected behaviours and actions
(a.k.a. '10 golden rules to be a great coordinator') WIP
- Join Weekly Coordinators Meeting as often as possible, or at least review notes and recordings.
- This is where all important updates are shared, and teams are brought up to speed with what happens in FP. If you can not attend, please let other coordinators know in the coordinators channel on Slack.
- If you can't attend the weekly meeting, wherever possible, please confirm with another of your department coordinators if they are attending. This way the team will stay up to date and will be able to share the progress even if you can not attend.
- We advise you to check the meeting notes at this page for an outlook of what has been discussed.
- Add your team meetings on the General Calendar on Notion.
- Remember to post reminders of all the team meetings on Slack to engage team members.
- You should also be able to chair and facilitate team meetings, keeping an agenda and sharing notes with the attendees.
- You can share the role of facilitator with other coordinators in your team.
- IMPORTANT: for guidance on how to create meetings on the Notion calendar, how to share calendar meetings with volunteers so that they can sync their schedules and how to connect Google Calendar to Slack for automatic updates, please watch the video guide at this page!
- Share your team's updates through Slack bot, or directly in our daily Standup meetings
- Remember that the update will help your team in different timezones to hear about the updates and engage more
